Pensacola’s premier air conditioning installer
In a city like Pensacola, the weather is both hot (average temps in the summer are close to 90 degrees) and humid (average humidity between June and August is 73%, whew!). This combination makes a quality AC unit a necessity for homeowners.
KadeCo Inc. is Pensacola’s premier air conditioning installer, serving the area since 1997. What makes our services the best in America’s First Settlement? Several factors:
- Quality work – a quality installation job will help you avoid repairs and future costs. Getting the job done right the first time is important to our team.
- Honest pricing – making sure costs and pricing are above board is a fundamental founding value of KadeCo. We will use integrity and honesty in the prices we set.
- No upselling – there is no need to fix what isn’t broken. We want to get you the right AC at the right price.

When should your AC be replaced?
Lack of cold air
The most obvious sign of a broken AC unit is a lack of cold air coming from your registers. There can be several factors associated with this, including broken compressors, low Freon levels, and more. Not having cold air blowing from your vents is a frustrating, but clear sign your AC may need to be replaced.
Energy bills increase dramatically
If an AC unit is running inefficiently, this will be reflected in your energy bill. Florida Power & Light (the electricity provider in Pensacola) has an energy calculator where you can see where you are expending the most power. One of the culprits of a large energy bill is AC costs. If an AC unit has issues, it runs constantly, and you pay a premium to keep it running. Getting a brand-new AC unit can help reduce your energy bills!
Your existing AC unit uses R-22 Freon
AC units manufactured before 2010 will often use R-22 Freon refrigerant. Production and imports of R-22 were banned by the U.S. government starting on January 1st, 2020. Therefore, any refrigerant your unit needs after 2020 will have to come from recycled units. Over time, the supply of R-22 will naturally be reduced and you must switch to a different unit.
Having a new unit installed will solve any problems with sourcing R-22 in the future.
Frequent breakdowns and repairs
An AC unit that constantly needs repairs due to breakdowns is likely in need of replacement. If you have to call an HVAC professional seemingly all the time to get your AC running – it may be more cost-effective to have a new unit installed.
